Tales of the Arabian Nights

I picked up this game in November 2002. Once again, I was able to get a game that has a great cabinet and backbox. After shipping it home and getting it set up, there were numerous problems. The biggest being the ramp magnet which catches the ball as it goes around the left ramp. The magnet wasn't working and after doing some troubleshooting and reviewing posts on RGP, we narrowed it down to the transistors and pre-transistors for the divertor and magnet. Had a good friend and pinball repair person here - Jay Richardson, who was able to get the boards repaired. Purchased a new ramp magnet while I was at it and installed that as well. Most annoying issues have been the mini/micro rollover switches which I have been slowly replacing.

The playfield is in great shape with one insert. the blue "Lightning" insert, faded and in need of replacing. A great beginner's game - this game while fairly simple to play is simply stunning to look at with the myriad of colours on the playfield. Has quickly become a favourite to play among family and friends - but as usual - too many games, not enough space.
