This page is meant to be a guidebook to where to play pinball in Calgary. I will update this as I get around to the various spots, but I don't always get to the other terminals to play....
The Calgary Airport
This is probably the place to play a lot of games. I will list the games and locations within the 4 terminals. All pinballs here are supplied by Southern Music in Calgary.
Terminal A - This is the Air Canada terminal. Just before you go through the security gates on the departure level, there is a "Flippers" arcade. As of August 5, 2003, here are the pinballs on location:
- The Simpsons Pinball Party: Games plays horrible! The backbox light has been out ever since it was put on location. So it sits there in the dark until someone notices it! And the flippers have that dreaded spongey feel from the old Data East days. The ball, when hit by those soggy flippers just sadly loops up and down as if it is in slow motion. Ugh - what a mess!
- Monopoly: Recently removed, but replaced by....
- Lord of the Rings - finally, the new Stern has made it to Calgary. Very nice game, good complex structure and gameplay, sound is crappy though...
- Roller Coaster Tycoon: Also no issues to report.
Inside Terminal A. On the other side of security, past the Tim Hortons is another Flippers location, with 4 more games:
- NBA Fast Break - haven't played in a while, update for next time
- Guns and Roses - haven't played in a while, update for next time
- Striker Extreme - have never played it here.
- Goldeneye 007 - have never played it.
Outside Terminal B Gates:
- Revenge From Mars - haven't played in a while
- Ripley's Believe It or Not
- Dr. Who
- High Roller Casino
- Simpson's Pinball Party
Terminal D - Westjet Terminal. There are 2 Flippers arcades here:
